SOUTH AFRICA // WINE COUNTRY - CONSTANTIA, STELLENBOSCH, FRANSCHOEK

Anyone who visits Cape Town MUST pay a visit the wine country which boasts some of the most beautiful vineyards I've ever seen. At first, we didn't even have this on our itinerary, but after the first one, we went to five more...

HIGHLIGHT: The people you meet on your trips are everything. We had an unforgettable experience when we were connected with one of my bride's friend's mom's cousin (how's that for 4 degrees of separation). She was a retired linguist professor from Pittsburgh....who used to be a nun but then left that to go to Penn State which eventually brought her to South Africa to teach and  coincidentally find the man of her dreams...They lived in the most perfect house on an organic grape farm in Stellenbosch, but what was more perfect than the stunning view was their relationship. It was the kind that people dream of having, especially after being married so long. They were respectful to each other, bragged about each other, complimented each other, and still used "honey," "sweetie," and #alltheendearing words you could call your partner. They made us a delicious breakfast on our way out to our safari, and were just the most gracious hosts. Thank you Elyse for introducing us - I will never forget this experience!
