I LOVE love. Unsurprisingly, Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday. It’s such an amazing opportunity to show love not only for a partner, but many SO special people in your life - love for your friends, your family, your pets, and yourSELF.
This Valentine’s Day, I wanted to do give a little something to one of the most selfless group of people I know - yoga teachers. When yoga teachers come to class, they give their all to show up a hundred percent, putting aside any worries from their own life to help others de-stress!
So last Friday, I surprised four yoga teachers with a mini photo session to show my appreciation for all they do for their students and their community. In return, they are sharing the practice of self-love with all of us, sometimes the hardest kind of love to share!
Make sure to show yourself and all the important people in your life how much you love them today (and every day)! Happy Valentine's Day!
"One thing I love about myself is my fearlessness to try new adventures where I get to connect with so many different communities of people in Pittsburgh." - Ashley
"I love about myself my intensity. I give it all in whatever I do and feel." - Monica
"The thing I respect and love the most about myself is my TENACITY. I wouldn't have been able to find my way after my first daughter died, or survive my son Silas' illness every single day without my fighting spirit showing up for me." - Lisa
"I can tell you, without any reservations, that I love that I have helped create a community in my hometown where there was no yoga community. I love that I am bringing like minded people together to practice, providing a place of comfort and support in the space of the studio I opened last year.
The ripple that began in my heart has turned into a tidal wave that is washing over and touching so many. It just keeps getting better and better. I am so proud of the fact that this came from my soul and without spoken words, my intention is conveyed to so many others that simply walk through the door of my studio to get on their mat. When they say they feel the love and positive energy I have tried to cultivate my heart sings. Simply creating love, by living what I love. I don't think there is anything better. " - Shannon
