Amber & Everett // Florence, Italy Tuscany Destination Wedding

I'm embarrassed to say this is the first time I've blogged this year...but LIFE! Between moving, lots of traveling, a DIY bathroom renovation, and the recent loss of our sweet dog Stella, the first half of this year has been a whirlwind!

A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of traveling to Italy to document Amber & Everett's wedding celebration in Florence! I've known Amber & Everett for a few years now, but we only seem to meet in exotic places around the world like Greece, Austria, Germany...and now Italy!

The wedding weekend started with a welcome dinner overlooking a perfect Florence sunset near the Piazza Michaelangelo. The next day, the wedding took place at the gorgeous Villa Le Fontanelle, an old Medici villa, now owned by a sweet family with three German Shepards who just roam the property (seriously the best)! Also overlooking Florence, the villa was more tucked away from the hustle of the city, boasting olive trees, vining roses, Italian Cyprus trees, a stunning garden...basically all my Italian dreams come true!

The entire day felt so relaxed and easy going, just like the bride & groom themselves. We did the first look in the original chapel on the property, and the ceremony backdrop was also the original fortress! Dinner was incredible at one long king's table for all the guests, complete with two courses of pasta and filet served with freshly shaved black truffles by their friend who is a professional chef. The layered cake was made right in front of the guests and was as delicious as it looked!

The following Monday (needed a day to recover!) we did a sunrise session at the Ponte Vecchio and Duomo - it was so perfect because between 6-7am was pretty much the only time the city was packed with people! It was so lovely just to walk around and photograph the two of them around one of the most gorgeous churches in the world. Our photoshoot ended when I had them standing in front of the two grand doors of the church and a pigeon immediately pooped on both of their heads! Now they will have #GOODLUCKFOREVER.

Thank you so much Amber & Everett for being so amazing and taking us along this Italian adventure of a lifetime! Va bene!
